Eco Team

We are the Eco Councillors!  It is our job to help to lead the Eco initiatives in our school. 

We are representatives from Years 1 to 6 and it is our mission to plan and inspire everyone in our school community with environmental projects in our grounds and the wider community. 

Each year, we carry out an environmental review of our school to celebrate what we are doing well but also to identify what we can focus on for the coming year.   We tackle issues that are collectively important to us and work on our school grounds to improve our wonderful outside space. 

Most recently, we have supplied new bird boxes to help with nesting, created two new bug hotels, ensured that the wooded area has lots of pathways for adventurous learning and created a sensory garden so that children in our school can relax in a calming environment. 

This year, we have already started our project to protect hedgehogs and look forward to coming up with lots of other creative ideas.
