This year John Hampden had a very different Artsweek experience due to the pandemic and keeping our school Covid safe. We still had Artsweek but at a later date and without our usual army of helpers. Viking Day
The day started with our Viking soldiers arriving with the sun, donning their red and green tunics, chanting and roaring, preparing for battle. Whilst some commenced a shield war of blood and strategy, others interrogated a lone, surviving monk from Lindisfarne. Our beautiful ‘Tree of Reflection’ is in progress! Every child has created a pebble – based on their own personal reflection of ‘Lockdown’.
