This morning, we hosted our first ever Behaviour and Values Workshop. We were delighted to be joined by parents, PTFA members, club leaders and Thame Mayor Andy Gilbert. Throughout the morning, adults and children from the the school (House Captains and School Councillors) teamed up to create the perfect Thame citizen; describe desirable behaviours for communal spaces within the community; and devise acronyms to support positive lunch times and playtimes in the school.
The morning was designed to enhance and shape ‘The Hampden Way’ in to a comprehensive Behaviour Curriculum. We wanted the voice of all of stakeholders and we were overwhelmed with the enthusiasm from everybody who attended. We are excited for the next step in our journey, where we will use all of the ideas and information gathered to produce a curriculum that models and teaches all of the values that we want to see in our community.
We would like to thank everybody involved and we look forward to welcoming you back again to see the impact of your work.
