Our John Hampden team of Y6 boys have stormed through the first round of Oxford’s Manor Cup football competition, beating St Joseph’s in Headington, 4-2. The match took place away at St Joseph’s and was an incredibly close fixture, with John Hampden taking the lead twice before St Joseph’s scored equalisers. With only a few minutes until the final whistle, our team pulled out all the stops and mustered all of their determination to get two more goals – a brilliant result! A huge well done to our brilliant players!
Here’s to the next round of the competition when we will face St Christopher’s at the start of December.
