John Hampden have returned with the Thame Partnership Y5/6 Boys’ Football shield after successfully competing in the recent tournament. Twelve teams from across the Thame Partnership provided some very stiff competition, but our two teams both proceeded from their group to compete in the semi-finals.
Following a very close (1-0) match against St Andrew’s, one JHS team was knocked out of the competition, but our other team won their semi-final and went on to face St Andrew’s in the final. An even closer final match meant that the tournament ended with a nail-biting penalty shoot-out, with John Hampden coming out on top!
Huge congratulations to both teams for such brilliant effort, enthusiasm and support for each other and well done for bringing the partnership trophy home!
Go Team JHS!
