Y6 The Great War Workshop Day
Our Y6 children have taken part in a day of exciting and interactive activities as part of their learning about World War One this term. The sessions included learning about the outbreak of the war, recruitment, trench life, first aid, the Christmas Truce, making soldier biscuits, throwing grenades, rifle drills and handling loads of real artefacts from the time. It really was a day packed with so much activity and learning, which was led by the brilliant Richard White from History into Schools.
Well done to all of the children for their enthusiasm, engagement and energy throughout such a brilliant day – we have all learnt so much about The Great War!
