As well as learning about the importance of Remembrance day we decided to create a poppy display for all of Thame to see. Every child in the school, from Nursery to Year 6, made a poppy to display on the tree in front of the Old School House. The children and teachers worked very hard to create waterproof poppies using plastic bottles, acrylic paint, split pins and even some laminated poppy collages. With it being such a difficult time for many people, during Lockdown 2.0, we thought the display would bring a smile to lots of faces and it certainly did. We have had so many wonderful comments about the beautiful display and would like to thank everyone for their support. If you haven’t seen it yet, then please take a walk past and see if you can spot your poppy!
The poppy donations were £401.
