John Hampden was inundated with amazing Ancient Egyptians on 12th September. The day was filled with fantastic adventures and experiences; from escaping an Egyptian tomb by cracking secret codes to tracking down Professor Pea Body and the missing sarcophagus through a treasure hunt around the grounds. (We never found Professor Pea Body!) Delicious Egyptian delicacies were tried by all, the raw onions being a massive hit! We made our own precious scarab beetle amulets and each child walked like an Egyptian showing off the latest fashions and make-up of the time. We completed the day by deciphering hieroglyphic messages which led us to Tutankhamun’s tomb.
