As well as our Sports Day events, this year’s JHS Sports Week saw children participating in lots of different sports and activities throughout the week. These included some sessions being run by some external coaches in cricket, karate, zumba, tennis and football, which the children all got stuck into and thoroughly enjoyed! Our Year 6 children visited MP Sports Academy Ground for a brilliant afternoon of Cricket with Manoj, and they also visited Thame Tennis Club for a fantastic afternoon working alongside Mark. The week also saw two ‘Buddy Mile’ runs (where our House Buddies ran the JHS mile together) and the inter-house Excalibur Challenge events (including longball, rounders, diamond cricket and bench ball). The week was rounded-off perfectly by a showcase of our dance festival performances from children in Reception and Years 1, 2, 4 and 6.
Well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and energy throughout a very busy and active week! It was great to see everyone enjoying taking part in all the activities.
A special thank you to Paul Cyna of Custom Karate, Mark Wilkins of Thame Tennis Club, Manoj Parmer of MP Sports Academy, Sandra Brookes (for Zumba) and Kieran at Little Kickers for giving up their time to help make our Sports Week 2019 such a fun and active one!
