Jonathan Solly is a former long-distance runner.
Jon won the 1986 Commonwealth Games Gold Medal for England in the Men’s’ 10000 Metres.
His personal best 10000 Metres time was 27:51.76.
Until the early 1990s he travelled the world as a professional runner with a personal best marathon time of 2:12:07. (To put that in perspective, that is running 26.2 miles at 11.92 miles per hour! Try that speed on a treadmill for a few minutes at the gym!)
