The Year 3 classes spent time making their Roman shields, and then had the opportunity to enjoy an ‘invasion’ with Mr Eyre. They had previously had the opportunity to hear some of the Latin commands, which one child from each class called out to their classmates. Their favourite command was forming the ‘tortoise’ or ‘Testudo’. Mr Eyre threw balls at the children whilst in this formation and tried to get some children out. They then pretended to die and collapse on the floor!
